Tools

Mad Casino's Responsible Gambling Tools

Mad Casino publishes its full responsible-gaming policy on the /responsible-gaming page. The operator-side tools available to every account, regardless of tier or deposit volume:

Cool-down period (1-48 hours) A short pause on your account. During the cool-down, you can still log in and withdraw your existing balance, but you cannot deposit, place bets, or play games. Useful for a stop-and-think break after a tilted session.

Deposit limits Set a cap on total deposits over a defined window — between 24 hours and 7 days. Once the cap is hit, further deposits are blocked until the period resets. You can lower a deposit limit immediately; raising it requires waiting for the current period to expire — a deliberate protective design.

Betting limits Cap the total amount you can wager during a defined window (24 hours to 7 days). Useful as a complement to the deposit limit — you might allow yourself to deposit €200/week but cap wagering at €100/day to enforce session pacing.

Loss limits Cap the total amount you can lose during a defined period. When you hit the loss cap, the account is restricted from further wagering until the window resets, regardless of remaining balance.

Time session limit Set a hard cap on session length — when the limit is reached, you're prompted to log out.

Gambling history Full transaction history (deposits, withdrawals, wagers, wins) viewable in your account. Use this regularly to honestly assess scale and pacing — memory tends to overweight wins and underweight losses.

Self-exclusion Block your account from further gambling for a defined period (minimum 1 day) or indefinitely. Self-exclusion is requested via email to support@madcasino.io — chat-based requests (if a chat is ever introduced) will not be processed for self-exclusion. The official confirmation arrives via email and is binding from the date stated.

Setting Limits

How to Activate the Tools

Most tools (cool-down, deposit limits, betting limits, loss limits, time-session limits) are self-serve from the account dashboard:

  1. Log into your Mad Casino account
  2. Navigate to the Responsible Gaming section of your account settings
  3. Pick the tool you want to activate
  4. Set the limit value and the time window
  5. Confirm

For self-exclusion specifically:

  1. Email support@madcasino.io with your account username
  2. State the period of self-exclusion you want (minimum 1 day, or indefinite)
  3. Wait for the confirmation email — it states the start and end date of the exclusion
  4. From the confirmation date forward, the account is blocked from log-in, deposit, betting, and gambling
  5. Withdrawing your remaining balance must happen before self-exclusion takes effect

Once activated, indefinite self-exclusion can only be lifted at the operator's discretion — re-activation is not guaranteed even if you request it later.

Warning Signs

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Mad Casino's /responsible-gaming page asks five direct questions to help with self-assessment:

  1. Do you stay away from work or study to gamble — or have you ever spent work or college time gambling at an online casino?
  2. Have you neglected the wellbeing of your family for the sake of gambling?
  3. Have you ever had to sell property or borrow money to keep gambling?
  4. Have you ever lied to cover up the amount of money or time you have spent gambling?
  5. After a loss, do you feel you must try and win it back as soon as possible?

If you answer yes to even one, the operator's own guidance is direct: stop, get in touch with a specialist organisation, and use the self-exclusion tools.

Other warning signs to watch for, drawn from problem-gambling research:

  • Chasing losses — depositing again to "win back" the previous session's loss
  • Borrowing to gamble — credit, friends-and-family loans, or other people's money to fund play
  • Hiding play — keeping gambling activity secret from family or partners
  • Playing when stressed or low — using gambling to escape rather than for entertainment
  • Cannot stop at a planned stop time — the brain overrides the intention to quit
  • Irritability when cutting back — withdrawal-like symptoms when you try to play less

If any of these resonate, the responsible-gambling tools at Mad Casino are useful but they are not substitutes for professional help.

Support Organisations

Free, Independent Support

These organisations provide free, confidential support. None of them are Mad Casino — they are independent charities and helplines, with no commercial relationship to the operator.

GamCare (gamcare.org.uk) UK helpline plus one-to-one counselling, peer support forums, and treatment referrals. Includes the self-assessment tool referenced on Mad Casino's own /responsible-gaming page.

Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org) 12-step peer-support meetings, in-person and online, worldwide. No fees. Mad Casino's /responsible-gaming page links to the 20 Questions self-assessment.

BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org) UK-focused but with global resources. 24/7 national gambling helpline.

Gambling Therapy (gamblingtherapy.org) Global multilingual support — online group chats, one-to-one therapy, and family resources.

Country-specific resources:

  • Germany: Bundeszentrale für gesundheitliche Aufklärung — bzga.de
  • Italy: Telefono Verde Nazionale — 800 558 822
  • Spain: FEJAR — fejar.org

Self-Blocking Software

Self-Blocking Software

Mad Casino's /responsible-gaming page specifically recommends installing reputable filtering software, naming NetNanny, CyberPatrol, BetBlocker, and GamBan. If self-exclusion on a single site isn't enough — and for most people with a problem it isn't — install device-level or network-level blocking:

  • Gamban (gamban.com) — cross-device gambling blocker, paid with a free trial
  • BetBlocker (betblocker.org) — free app and browser extension covering multiple jurisdictions
  • GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) — UK-only multi-operator self-exclusion scheme. Note: Mad Casino is not covered by GAMSTOP as a Curaçao-licensed operator outside the UK GC system.

Install on every device you use — a phone-only block fails if you have a laptop; a UK-scheme block fails for operators outside that scheme.
